As long as you are getting a good motorway run thrown in, of which will regenerate the DPF. Problem will arise if non DPF regeneration which leads to build up of soot ect. Regeneration burns off this build up. 12 May 2016 at 14:32. #3.
Hello, Can anyone tell me what exactly triggers an active dpf regeneration to occur? (2008 Ford Focus 1.6 TDCI) I've noticed (using forscan) that the dpf is regenerating approx every 100 miles. This seems very excessive especially considering the differential dpf pressure is well within the accep
With this in mind, and with more and more diesel four-wheel drives being relegated to grocery-getting and school duties, many manufacturers are opting for an automated burn-off cycle, where the ECU will increase temperatures with fuel loading and other tricks, and force the engine to undertake a ‘DPF regen’. With ongoing issues with DPF
DPF still fills up requiring a regen but at circa 200 miles, not 28. Feathers Diesel Services Unit G12, Lock View, Come discuss all things Mazda 3 from the
3. Used the STP Diesel additive for the DPF cleaning - it helped to increase maybe the reg interval to 100-110 km. 4. Used hydrogen intake cleaning - it reduced the consumption average from 9 l/100 km toward 8 l/100 km (example: at 90kmh it shows 5.2-5.3 l/100) but I did not improved the regeneration intervals. 5.
The have automatic regeneration. Ignore the regeneration process 3 time’s, kill it and the dpf is 5000 to 6000 on a merc..So if you have issues in your car van etc. stop the car and rev the car above 1750.for a while Basically trying to burn the soot out ,any thing near hundred thousand miles or above could be ash. Will need cleaned.
(Drivers 1, 6, 12, 16 and 22) have very simil ar NO x from DPF regeneration trips than those from normal trips. As a result, no statistically significant difference exists ( p = 4.70×10 -1
Hi, just wondering what the manual specifies for the 1.6 dpf regen? Thinking of moving from a non dpf Gen8 2.2 to the Gen9 1.6. My daily commute is only 8.5 miles, round trip, with about 2-3 miles at 40mph. Then one trip on the weekend of 20 miles, round trip, with about half of those miles at 70mph.
Well the whole point to a SIMS DPF delete is to stop the regen cycle and the extra required fuel to do it. Good enough for me for now until I run out of warrantee. SIMS DPF delete = 60 to 75% MPG gain EGR delete (requires programmer for 2012s) = another 40% or less gain.
Method of usage: Remove the pre-DPF temperature sensor, inject the cleaner (it's foam type), wait 15 minutes and got for a drive. Do some search and see if you can find for purchase one of these. You might need 2 cans for such excessive clogging. Second step is to reset the values by tricking the computer to think DPF was replaced.

I also have a Mazda 3 and the same happens. You might also feel a strain on the engine in that it is not as responsive.
